The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) has awarded California, through COOL PORN
Peninsula Library System, $39,982 to conduct a statewide planning project from March 2008 through February 2009. Called COOL PORN
California Connecting to Collections Project, it will develop a statewide preservation plan for COOL PORN
state’s some 7000 heritage institutions which include museums, libraries and archives, historical societies, and state parks facilities.
The California Connecting to Collections Project goals are:
• To create a shared vision for preservation among heritage institutions in California.
• To develop a statewide preservation plan for heritage collections.
The project’s work group consists of five partners: COOL PORN
California Association of Museums, COOL PORN
California Preservation Program, COOL PORN
California State Library, California State Parks, and Historic Monterey (a multi-agency collaborative organization).
